Fullerton Presbyterian Church is searching for a Korean-American Lead Pastor who will oversee the spiritual growth of our English Ministry through the preaching and teaching of God’s word, prayer, discipleship, spiritual disciplines, evangelism, and missions. We are seeking someone who understands how to lead a smaller congregation while striving toward growth. We desire a shepherd who is prayerful, loving, humble, and servant-like and who has a heart for the lost and unreached. We hope our new pastor will make a powerful impact on our church members as well as our community.

Responsibilities

• Preaching
  • Preparing and giving bold, applicable, gospel-centered sermons
  • Strong biblical knowledge
• Pastoral Care
  • Counseling individuals, couples, and families
• Leadership
  • Building up leaders to serve in different capacities
  • Encouraging members to utilize their spiritual gifts
  • Working alongside the deacons and servant team
• Discipleship
  • Training members in the Word and ministry, so that they might develop as healthy believers who can walk by faith, share their faith, and multiply their faith
• Outreach/Missions
  • Encouraging and providing opportunities for our congregation to participate in outreach/missions
  • Leading and serving with a missional mindset in all areas of ministry

Qualifications

• A love for Christ and the church, possessing qualifications of an elder (1 Tim. 3 and Titus 1)
• Agree with the Statement of Faith and doctrinal beliefs of Fullerton Presbyterian Church (See here).
• 5+ years of experience in an adult English Ministry
• Graduate of an accredited seminary with an MDiv (Master of Divinity) or equivalent
• Maintains a strong devotional life of worship, prayer, and personal studying of God’s word
• A heart for missions, the lost, and the unreached
